I grew up in Seabeck Washington, a small town about an hour west of Seattle on the Puget Sound. Growing up I spent my time on school, working on cars with my dad and brothers, and fishing for shrimp in the Puget sound.

The start of my aviation passion came some time in middle school when my dad took us to lunch at a diner on a small airport. We sat at a table outside with only a rope separating us from the Cessnas parked on the ramp.

My love for aviation grew stronger in my junior year of high school, when I took a flight simulator class. This class taught some of the basics such as, airspace, phonetic alphabet, and navigation.
